Album Art
Album artworks I've worked on for various musicians and bands.
The Steezies
Snorting Lines of Turmeric (Debut EP 2018)
In their own words, "The Steezies are a full force energy train of
Afro-ish/Funk-ish/Indie-ish vibe from Hout Bay, South Africa".
BRYNN
Querencia (Debut Album 2018)
BRYNN is a five piece emotive Alternative Rock band (featuring Jules Terea on Vocals and rhythm guitar, David Van Vuuren (Frontman of Southern Wild) on lead guitar, Hezron Chetty on Violin, Alex Smillie (Southern Wild) on Bass and Eddy Kriel on Drums) and is quickly taking the local music scene by storm. Their consistently passionate and powerful live performances have fast earned them a loyal local following. Their sound is an explosive, fresh, passionate and truly unique addition to the South African music scene.
I was commissioned by BRYNN for an album cover artwork as well as the design of the actual booklet itself. The cover art came from a cropped commission created a couple of years ago for Lauren Kim Uppink, entitled "Dixons Peak, 1 May 2015". To me this was her Querencia and could be the Querencia for many others.
Alice Phoebe Lou
Orbit (Debut Album 2016)
"Alice Phoebe Lou's fiercely independent approach to her music has given the singer songwriter a creative confidence that shines through in her captivating vocals and stripped back music. Having developed her bluesy, folk sound busking on the streets of Berlin, Alice has caught the ears of a community of music lovers the world over with her honest storytelling and raw, beautiful voice."

I was commissioned by Alice to have the honour in creating her debut album artwork as well as the design of the booklet for both the LP and CD. The album art concept came from a digital compilation of my of Palette Planets series (SEE HERE).
Alice also asked numerous artists for visual interpretations of her tracks on this album, which made up the accompanying booklet, with lyrics. My version of "Society" came in the form of a hand-painted wheat paste, stuck up under a prominent bridge in Cape Town, where it was photographed before being removed by the city council.

Jeremy Loops
Critical As Water (2018)
Trading Change (2014 Debut Album)
Jeremy Loops (2011 Debut EP)
I've had the pleasure of knowing Jeremy since the start of his music career here in South Africa around 2011. Since then I have been very involved in his visual identity having designed his logo and art directed and designed three of his last prominent albums, seen here.
